Competitive information

For the 2024/25 Season, MDRA will host tryouts for the following competitive teams U14A and U16A. Further information in regards to U19A will be released at a later date pending details being obtained from Eastern Region Ringette Association in regards to U19AA tryouts and processes.

MDRA commits to making and communicating a decision on team viability prior to the first tryout time. This will allow players and their families sufficient time to act accordingly.

2024 Cost

Tryouts for U14A and U16A will cost $90.

If a player requires a set of tryout jerseys they will cost an additional $50. You will only need to purchase if you don’t already have an MDRA set of tryout / sort out jerseys.

Tryout fees must be paid in advance of the first session. Registration will open on RAMP by March 22nd.

MDRA competitive contract and survey

To participate in MDRA competitive tryouts, prospective players must complete the competitive commitment survey and contract before making any payments and provide them at check-in to be permitted on the ice. These essential documents establish clear expectations for players and families, ensuring readiness to fully commit to a competitive team.

Tryout registration links

As per Eastern Region Ringette Association (ERRA) all players intending to tryout for any U14/U16/U19 A or AA level for any association within the Eastern Region are asked to register as soon as possible. This will help the association with their tryout planning and communicate with those who are registered.

If a Player's intentions change from the time of submission to the dates of the tryouts they should re-submit as soon as this is known, including a short note about the change in the "Comments" section.

Spring conditioning sessions

In preparation for tryout season, MDRA is offering spring conditioning sessions. Priority will be given to MDRA players.

Registration tentatively opens on March 19, 2024 with sessions opening up to out-of-association players on March 26. Each session will cost $15. There will be limited space available for these sessions.

These sessions will offer a combination of skills/drills and scrimmages.
