Metcalfe District Ringette Association will be hosting a FREE Come Try Goalie session on Sunday, March 16 at 4:15 pm at Fred Barrett. This session is open to all FUN 3-U14 players with goalie equipment provided.
Has your child ever shown an interest in being a goalie but never had the opportunity to try? This session is the perfect occasion for them to experience playing in nets and see how much fun it can be. Players will get tips and tricks from our finest goalie coaches. Plus skilled helpers will be on ice to provide guided shots on net to help build confidence.
Registration will open in RAMP on Saturday, March 8 at 12:00. Register early as there are only 8-spots available. Once the session is full, players will be put on a waiting list. If there is sufficient demand, an additional session will be offered in the future. Note that new players, ages 8-13, who are interested in joining MDRA as a goalie are welcome to attend as well. These players can please contact Alanna Harte directly to register.
Given the goalie shortage in ringette, MDRA would like to encourage children to consider playing goalie on full-time, half-time or part-time basis.
